1. The new name of its new moon rover was announced by China National Space Administration (CNSA) as “Yutu-2” or Jade Rabbit-2. According to Chinese folklore, Yutu is Chang’e’s white pet rabbit name. Chang’e is the goddess of the moon who gave her name to the lunar mission in China.

2. International Space Station (ISS) scientists are planning to develop beans in space by 2021. The beans will be planted by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in high-tech planters.

3. Chinese scientists developed a naval radar of advanced and compact size. This radar can track and maintain constant monitoring over an region of India’s size.

4. In an experiment, after editing the genes, Chinese scientists cloned five monkeys. The scientists have edited genes to cause several human illnesses like Alzheimer’s with the goal of helping in medical research. The scientists claimed that in physiology, the cloned monkeys make better models for research into parthenogenesis of disease and potential therapeutic therapies.
